CMA stands for Comparative Market Analysis.
It is a detailed report prepared and submitted by your real estate agent for
the purpose of providing you factual data about how your property compares in
the marketplace.
While the CMA examines the overall marketability of your property with the
goal of calculating its valuehence, the selling priceit is not an
appraisal but a good assessment nonetheless. A CMA should not be used as a substitute
for a property appraisal performed by a qualified and licensed appraiser.
